THE PALETTEERS Guidelines for Paletteers Art Shows
Number of Entries for Shows
3 original entries per person, unless otherwise stated. Works previously shown in a Paletteers art show are not eligible for entry.
Number of Entries for Collectors Corner (Summer Show only)
3 per person; may be replaced by artist if sold during the show.
Categories
(1) Oils & Acrylics
(2) Watercolor
(3) Pastel
(4) Photography
(5) Misc. (pen/ink, collage, casein, tempera, colored pencil, enamel, etc.)
Size for Shows
48” x 36” framed, or 168” total outside dimensions.
Size for Collectors Corner
No larger than 11" x 14" plus frame when used, or 12” x 16” gallery-wrapped canvas.
Framing
Works must be securely framed complete with screw eyes and wire. Pastels, watercolors, photography, and pen/ink must be framed, under
glass or plexiglass, and ready for hanging. No clips are allowed. Gallery wrap or Studio wrap canvas work is acceptable without frame if all four sides are painted and no staples are showing. Works improperly framed will not be accepted.
Price
As set by artist; no POR (price on request). NFS (not for sale) allowed. Collectors Corner items must be priced at $150 or less.
Commission
A 20% commission will be collected from members on all Summer Show sales. Checks for sales at the Summer Show will be mailed to the artist from the Treasurer within thirty days. There is no commission collected on sales at other shows, unless otherwise stated.
Removal of Art Works
All entries will remain on exhibit for the length of the Summer Show, except works may be removed from the Collectors' Corner at the time of sale. Works will be released to the exhibitor at the designated end date of the show, or as pre-arranged. For all other shows, work may be removed at the time of sale/payment, and may be replaced by the artist at his/her discretion. The Paletteers are not responsible for works remaining after the close of the show.
Note of Importance: The show committee reserves the right to reject any piece. The committee will take all reasonable care in handling the
work, but it is understood that all works are submitted at the owner’s risk. The Paletteers are not responsible for any thefts, damages, errors,
or omissions.
